#659 - Two new members

 

  Our CAP list has become quite long lately, so the Council decided to let two of them in.
  Galen Marek, previously known as Dwayne Skywalker, joined the clan yesterday already, choosing the Jedi side. He has been CAP for a month being quite active on the server, so it was about time to let him in.
  The second recruit is Rodiz who has returned. Some of you might remember him as a trouble-making person, but we are convinced that he has changed for the better. He has joined the Sith side and has already chosen Heimdallr as his master who agreed.
  Congratulations to both and good luck on your further way in the clan!

 #658 - Return of the Sith

 

  Lately, two old Sith members of Council have returned.
  On the one hand, Skull, quite a senior member, has returned a while ago already at his old Sith Lord rank.
  On the other hand, Tarantio is back in the ranks of Council after he had left due to a long journey to
  Japan and Europe. He will receive his old rank as well, which was and now is Sith Knight.
  It is always good to see old friends returning, so please give them a warm welcome back!

 #657 - Recent alterations / issues

 

  Currently, the activity in Council dropped a lot due to exam periods in nearly every country - an 'issue' we have every year as gaming clearly has to take a back seat here. Although, there are still members around dropping in once in a while which is a very nice thing.
  Another issue we're having concerns the website. For some reason, it sometimes won't let us post news or matches - just as the match Council had against
   (JAWA) in April which still needs to be added to the record. Those issues will hopefully be fixed as soon as possible.
  
  Coming to the alternations now, Feanor set up a homemade Movie Battles II server as a kind of event server for Council. The gamemode is similar to siege, while the battles take place in scenes of the Star Wars movies. The IP is ravenhome.dyndns.org:29070, you can find the mod here.
  Furthermore, the Map Cycle was removed today in order to avoid the loss of people at map change.
  
  These rather small changes should help Council to stay at least a bit active, so it can grow stronger again in the summer.

 #656 - Happy Hour

 

  Since the activity again is quite low in Council, Heimdallr suggested that we re-introduce the former Council Happy Hour where members are encouraged to show up - just for that one hour in order to get some steady activity, that once again leads to more activity.
  If you want to have an influence as to when the happy hour should be, please make your comment on the Forums. The decision will be made shortly.

 #655 - April's Fools

 

  At the first of April, various websites, medias, etc., tend to do silly April fools. Some like it, others don't, so here's a warning for those who dislikes it.
  Council will as usual not make up a silly statement and pretend it's true.
  I've already seen the first pranks around the web, and I'm really not fond of the whole idea that certain people feel like they have to do it - that kinda takes the fun of it, doesn't it? I mean, if you know it's coming, that silly story each year. At least it does it for me.
  Anyways, here's the warning. Don't believe anything today! And then have a good one.

 #654 - New Forums

 

  The new forums have now officially been launched. The testing period is over and the setup is how we want it to be. This means that everyone, if they haven't already, should create a new user at the new forums.
  The old forums will be saved in order to keep some of Council's history. There are many interesting posts, including the "Show yourself" topic started ages ago with pictures (unfortunately many gone!) of members.
  The new forums are easier to manage and we get more freemdom. Also the design fits the site itself better, and you can easier tell that they are related.
